Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)

An interdisciplinary degree program that integrates three areas of coursework.

National Student Exchange (NSE)

A study-away opportunity allowing Texas State students to enroll at another NSE member campus in more than 200 locations in the contiguous United States, as well as in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada.

PACE Peer Mentoring

Peer Mentors are upper-division students who are placed in University Seminar classes to support first-year students as they transition to Texas State.

University Seminar (US 1100)

A course designed to help meet transitional needs of new Texas State students, developing strategies for lifelong learning. University Seminar is a degree requirement for all incoming students with fewer than 16 hours earned since high school graduation.
