FLIP at Texas State Student Organization

FLIP at Texas State is a student organization committed to providing community and support for all First-Gen, Low Income (FLI) students at Texas State.

Mission

FLIP at Texas State aims to provide a holistic support for first generation and/or low income (FLI) students at Texas State. FLIP at Texas State's purpose is to advocate for FGLI students as they navigate their way through post-secondary education. FLIP at Texas State provides critical resources, community service, social activities, mentorship, and networking.

Purpose

This organization will provide a welcoming and supportive environment for first generation college students as they navigate their way through college.

Membership Requirements

Membership is granted to current or prospective students of Texas State University who are interested in connecting with other first-generation students, staff, and faculty. FLIP at Texas State does not discriminate against qualified members on the basis of their ability, age, color, creed, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
